Established in 2019, Olutsha Wolves Rugby Club is built on ambition, diversity and community pride.

Ambition, diversity and community pride
By 2021, the club had won two championships: the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality District Rugby Union League and the Sub-Union League. These achievements came under the leadership of head coach Buhle Mikhail Ntsebeza and captain Owenkosi Ntintelo.
The Wolves remain one of the most diverse teams in the Union, bringing together players from different locations, backgrounds, age groups and races. From 2022 to 2025, the team consistently finished in the top four of the league and produced players who progressed to the Varsity Shield, Border Under-21 squad and Border Bulldogs structures.
In 2026, the Wolves made history by reaching the First Division League playoffs.

Olutsha Wolves Rugby Club is preparing to introduce a new digital initiative designed to recognise, reward and support the people who make our rugby journey possible — our players, coaches and dedicated rugby personnel.
The Olutsha Player Support & Rewards Initiative will create a dedicated digital profile for participating players, coaches and personnel. These profiles will provide an opportunity for individuals to share their rugby journeys, achievements, performances, development and experiences with the wider Olutsha community.
Players may share their tries, match performances, training progress, milestones, injury-recovery journeys, personal stories and war cries, while coaches and rugby personnel can showcase their coaching development, contributions and achievements.
How it works
Supporters, family members, friends and members of the public will be able to visit these profiles and show their support through digital supporter tokens available on the Olutsha Sports website.
Tokens will have a defined monetary value and can be purchased by supporters through the platform. The value generated through supporter contributions will then be allocated towards supporting the selected player, coach or rugby personnel, subject to the initiative's rules and applicable platform fees.
This creates a new way for the Olutsha community to move beyond simply watching and supporting rugby — supporters can directly contribute to the growth, development and wellbeing of the people representing the club.

Every player has a story. Every journey deserves recognition. Every supporter can make a difference.
Whether it is helping a young player continue developing, supporting a player through injury recovery, recognising a coach's commitment, or celebrating an outstanding performance, the initiative aims to turn community support into meaningful impact.
The Olutsha Player Support & Rewards Initiative will form part of Olutsha Sports' broader vision of using sport, technology and community participation to create new opportunities for local rugby talent.
